They won eight of 10 conference series this year to claim theACC's Atlantic Division title and earn host an NCAA regional in back-to-back seasons.
The Panthers (34-25) secured their first NCAA tournament bid after winning the Big South Conference tournament. They are 0-10 all time against Clemson, losing 1-0 when they last played in 2014.

FINAL: Clemson 4, High Point 3 after a Tristan Bissetta walk-off RBI single
Blake Wright doubles down the right field line to open the bottom of the ninth inning. Cam Cannarella is then intentionally walked. Jimmy Obertop will bat with nobody out.
Obertop strikes out. Tristan Bissetta will now bat with one out.
Bissetta hits the first pitch past the second baseman and into right field for a base hit. Wright had to stop for a moment to wait for the ball to get through, but Wright scores as the right fielder slipped before getting the throw in.
Clemson wins 4-3 on a walkoff. The Tigers finally got the big hit tonight.
The Tigers will face Coastal Carolina at 5 p.m. Saturday, with High Point facing Vanderbilt in an elimination game at Noon Saturday.
Austin Gordon strands go-ahead runner at third base
After Lucas Mahlstedt walks the leadoff hitter in the High Point 9th, Austin Gordon enters the game and gets the necessary outs on a sacrifice bunt and two flyouts.
Tigers are up in the 9th inning, with Blake Wright, Cam Cannarella and Jimmy Obertop due up in a 3-3 game.
Clemson's bats continue to be quiet
The Tigers draw a two-out walk but nothing else against Adam Grintz, whose fastball runs 88-91 MPH. Clemson has now left 11 runners on base and at least one stranded in every inning. The Tigers' 1-4 hitters are 2-14 with a RBI and a run scored tonight.
To the 9th. Lucas Mahlstedt continues on the mound for Clemson.
Lucas Mahlstedt strands a runner in the High Point 8th
Lucas Mahlstedt comes on to pitch after a High Point leadoff single and retires High Point in order. That is a rather different arm angle compared to what High Point saw in the first seven innings.
3-3 into the Clemson 8th. Tigers could use a long ball. Gus Hughes is done for the day after seven solid innings. Adam Grintz will pitch the 8th for High Point.
Tigers bats struggling against High Point's Gus Hughes
Gus Hughes works around a two-out walk to strike out the side in the Clemson 7th. Hughes is up to 118 pitches, so Clemson's lineup has seen all he's got.
The Tigers' bats have not produced the big hit yet. To the 8th.
Reid Garris gets a 1-2-3 inning in the 7th
Even the 1-2-3 innings for Clemson are not coming without stress. Reid Garris strikes out Konni Durschlag for the final out....except the ball gets past Jimmy Obertop. The Clemson catcher throws a little wide of first base, but Jack Crighton stretches out to pick the throw and complete the out, which stands after review.
Clemson 3, High Point 3 in the bottom of the sixth inning: Tigers answer
The first three batters reach for the Tigers in the Clemson 6th. Jack Crighton reached via error before a Jacob Jarrell double and a RBI single by Jarren Purify. Clemson's 6-9 hitters are 6-11 at the plate today, with No. 9 hitter Purify adding two RBI.
But Clemson strands two more, as Gus Hughes continues to battle for High Point. Hughes is up above 100 pitches in a 3-3 game.
High Point 3, Clemson 2 in the top of the sixth inning: High Point takes the lead
Peyton Carr leads off the High Point 6th inning with a single, then moves to second base on what is ruled a wild pitch, advances to third base on a single and scores on a nifty fielder's choice by Jarren Purify who just missed out on a 4-6-3 double play.
Tristan Smith's day is done. Clemson's defense has been better, and it was a total team effort in hampering his efforts. Smith too contributed with an error that led to High Point's first run of the day.
Smith went 5.1 innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits, no walks and a wild pitch. Clemson has to pick Smith up, because he pitched too well to be saddled with a loss tonight.
Reed Garris is on to pitch for Clemson.
Tristan Smith strands go-ahead run at third base
High Point's Brayden Simpson hits a blooper into no-man's land in right field, which leaves two Clemson players sprawled out on the ground trying to field. Simpson ends up at second base with what is currently ruled a double, but is stranded at third base after Tristan Smith retires the next three batters in order.
2-2, mid 5th.
Clemson 2, High Point 2 after four innings: Jarren Purify squeeze bunt produces tying run
Tristan Bissetta and Jack Crighton open the inning with hits, and a Jarren Purify squeeze bunt forces a bad throw by High Point pitcher Gus Hughes and the game-tying run.
Hughes gets out of the inning without allowing more though, and Clemson strands two. Tigers have left six runners on base after four innings.
High Point 2, Clemson 1, middle fourth inning: High Point takes the lead on long defensive inning for the Tigers
Jack Crighton and Tristan Smith misplay a groundball to open the inning, allowing Konni Durschlag to reach base. After a passef ball, Durschlag scores on a hard-hit single and error by Clemson right fielder Alden Mathes
High Point's Charlie Klinger drives in another run on a RBI infield single. High Point leads into the bottom of the fourth inning.
Clemson 1, High Point 0, end third: Cam Cannarella starring with glove and bat
Cam Cannarella opens the third inning with a stellar sliding catch in centerfield, then gets Clemson on the board in the bottom half with an RBI single scoring Jacob Hinderleider.
The Tigers lineup hasn't made a lot of loud contact yet, but Tristan Smith continues to be very good so far.
Clemson 0, High Point 0 after two innings
Tristan Smith has retired all six High Point batters in order.
In the bottom half, Jack Crighton singles but is caught stealing. Jacob Jarrell singles after the caught stealing, but nothing else in the Clemson second inning.
Clemson 0, High Point 0 after one inning: Good opening inning for Tristan Smith
Clemson's Tristan Smith opens the game with a 1-2-3 top of the first inning against High Point's top of the order.
Clemson gets two HBP but cannot move them across.
The winner of tonight's game will face Coastal Carolina in the second game on Saturday, while the loser will play an elimination game against Vanderbilt in the early game Saturday. The Chanticleers pasted the Commodores 13-3 in the first game on Friday.
