Can you walk from terminal 1 to terminal 2 at Fort Lauderdale airport? ›

Walking Path - If you have time and want to exercise, try the FLL Fit Walking Path. This 1.3-mile path is located on the upper level and goes between the terminals. Store your carry-ons at Bags To Go. ​Some of the suggested activities are Post Security in specific concourses.

There's a shuttle between terminals and a streetcar service linking all the terminals to the Palm and Hibiscus parking garages. It's also possible to walk between Terminals 3 and 4 with the connected walkway.

Terminals. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport has four terminals with 66 gates.

We encourage passengers to allow enough time to park and undergo check-in and security screening processes, which could take longer during peak periods. We recommend arriving at FLL at least two hours before a domestic flight and three hours if flying internationally.

Flight operations at T-2 includes all international flights and domestic flights operated by four airlines which are AirAsia, Air India, Star Air, and Vistara while Terminal-1 will only be handling domestic flights operated by Akasa Air, Alliance Air, Indigo, and SpiceJet.

Delta Air Lines and Air Canada operate from Terminal 2, and there is a Delta Sky Club near the gate information area.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is ranked 21st in the United States and serves more than 24 million passengers annually.

Busiest times: 6 a.m.- 7:30 a.m; 10:30 a.m. 1 p.m.; and 5 p.m. 8 p.m. (especially Terminal 4 during the winter season).

Fort Lauderdale airport is one of the busiest airports in the country, serving over 24 million passengers each year. With so many travelers coming and going, it can be difficult to know what to expect when arriving or departing from the airport.

An enclosed walkway connects the Departures Level of Terminal 1 with the Arrivals Level of Terminal 2. Once you pass through security in both terminals, you are within a common departures area, and you can freely walk between the shopping areas and boarding gates across both terminals.

Walking. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are not far from each other, and passengers can stroll through the connecting walkways in just a few minutes. The walkway is outside of the secure area, so it is necessary to re-clear security on arrival at the next terminal.

Connection between Terminals

Courtesy terminal shuttle buses depart daily from 6 am to 9 pm, from the lower level outside of each terminal and Rental Car Center.

Terminal 1: Exit the terminal to the streetside curb, and board any “Airport Shuttle” bus. At the stops for Terminal 2 or North/South Parking 1 & 2, you can access an enclosed bridge which connects to the Metrorail station.
